Wellness for Humanity Ministry/Ibadan Clinic

Abound in Hope has joined forces with Nigerian NGO Wellness for Humanity Ministry to build a clinic and retreat center in Ibadan. The clinic will provide much-needed medical care to the impoverished residents of this large metropolitan area. The retreat center will be a facility to host Christian activities like services and fundraisers, which will help the project begin to support itself.

History

Abound in Hope has provided grants that have helped buy the land, build a wall, drill a well, build a toilet facility for men and women attending programs on-site, build a gatehouse for security and buy an electrical transformer. Abound in Hope also provided grants to complete the construction of a residence on-site, which helped prevent vandalism and theft, and for the construction of a clinic building to provide medical care for residents of the village.

Funding Goals

Ongoing funding will be used to support the establishment and operation of the medical clinic, and to support the expenses of maintaining and providing 24/7 security for the premises. Donate here.

Updates

December 2020

The grand opening for the Wellness medical clinic took place on December 19, 2020. The Chairman of the Akinyele Local Government presided over the ceremony, which was also attended by the Representative, Akinyele State Constituency. The facility now has a constructed medical clinic, cafeteria and chapel. Wellness for Humanity Ministry is working with the local government to obtain staffing of the clinic by trained medical personnel.

Thanks to your generous donations, Abound in Hope Nigeria provided over $45,000 in grants to support the construction of these facilities from 2018 to 2020. Ongoing donations will continue to support the operation of the medical clinic and purchasing of supplies, and to support the expenses of maintaining and providing 24/7 security for the premises.
