Power Tools for Prayer: Mary, “Help of Christians” (20:23)

God made us to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in the next. How do we come to know God, love God and serve God? As Christians, we understand that this comes from a personal relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. This personal relationship with Jesus comes from prayer, including reading and meditating on the Word of God in the Bible. Is there a “power tool” for prayer that can help us to know Jesus, to love Jesus, and to serve Jesus? There is a “"power tool” that can do this, and that is the Mother of Jesus, known by her ancient title “Help of Christians.” In this reflection, we will consider how the early Church viewed Mary as a help to Christians, what the Scriptures teach us about how Mary can help us in prayer, and how we can go about approaching her for help. Tell Them I Love Them (25:17)

Have you ever loved someone? We have all loved parents, siblings, children, friends, or even someone who was just kind to us once. The Bible tells us in 1 John that if we have ever loved, we did because He first loved us first. If you have ever loved anyone in your life, you never have to wonder. You know God loves you.  Listen to “"Tell Them I Love Them”

Divine Friendship (18:21)

The Prophet Daniel told us that in the end times the people “who know their God shall stand firm and take action.” But how can we be friends with someone that we do not know? Our God is calling us into friendship with him. What makes one a friend of God? How do we improve our friendship with God? What is Jesus asking us to do as his friends? Listen to “Divine Friendship”

Healing After The Resurrection (33:05)

We sing the joyful song of Alleluia because our Lord is risen from the dead but yet each of us must confront the fact that we're not entirely risen, we're not entirely alive in the Lord. There are parts of us that are dead or wounded. We all feel from time to time that we’re not as alive as we would like to be. As laypeople we spend most of our lives working out in the world and we suffer injuries from Evil and even from our own sinfulness. So what is the answer? Listen to “Healing After The Resurrection”
